All orders are shipped via USPS from New Jersey.
Processing Time
Each hat is made to order. Please allow 2–5 business days for processing before your order ships.
Domestic Shipping (United States)
Because each hat is proudly made to order right
here in New Jersey, our fulfillment process is
broken into two steps:
- Processing Time: 2 to 5 business days to custom craft your hat.
- Shipping Time: 2 to 5 business days in transit once handed to the carrier.
Total Turnaround: Most domestic orders arrive within 4 to 10 business days from the moment you purchase — but there is a good chance it will arrive sooner than anticipated.
You will receive a tracking number the exact day your hat ships out!
International Shipping
We proudly ship our custom hats worldwide! International timelines are split between crafting time and overseas shipping transit:
- Processing Time: 2 to 5 business days to custom craft your hat.
- Shipping Time: 7 to 21 business days in transit, depending on your global location and local customs clearance speeds.
Estimated Total Turnaround by Region:
- Canada: 9 to 17 business days total.
- UK & Europe: 12 to 21 business days total.
- Australia & New Zealand: 14 to 26 business days total.
- Rest of the World: 16 to 33 business days total.
Tracking updates may slow down once the package leaves the United States and enters your country's local postal network. To protect the shape and crown of your hat, all international items are securely shipped in sturdy, lightweight cardboard boxes.
International customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes imposed by their country.

Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your package every step of the way.
🔄 Returns & Exchanges Policy
At Retro Roots Headwear, I want you to love what lands on your doorstep. If something isn't right, I'm here to make it right.
✅ Returns
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for both defective and non-defective items in new, unworn condition with the original tag attached. Once your return is received and approved, refunds are processed within 5 business days.
✅ Exchanges
Exchanges are accepted within 7 days of delivery for items in new, unworn condition with the original tag attached. If you'd like a different hat, reach out and I'll do my best to make it happen.
📩 Return & Exchange Shipping
We cover return shipping only when we've made a mistake or your hat arrives damaged. If this happens, we'll email you a prepaid return shipping label so you can send the item back free of charge
❌ Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange
- Worn, used, or altered items
- Items without the original tag attached
- Sale or clearance items
⏳ Timeframe
All return and exchange requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. No exceptions.
📸 How to Submit a Request

- Your order number
- Clear photos of the item
- Your email used at checkout
Once your request is submitted, I'll review it within 2–3 business days and follow up with next steps.
